Born and raised in Illinois, Brenda moved to Florida in 1985 after graduating from SIU. Almost immediately, Brenda’s brother, Paul introduced Brenda to her future husband, Bobby. Together they kept active in their prospective career pursuits with Brenda accepting positions in advertising, promotions, journalism, non-profits, and assisting in the family business.
Through various trials following her marriage to Bobby in 1990, and after his born-again experience, Brenda accepted an alter call in July of 1992 to receive the free gift of salvation. Now fully surrendered to passionately love and follow the Lord, Brenda and Bobby served wholeheartedly in various roles in the church. With a continuous desire to be a compliment to her husband, Brenda embraced a new role as a pastor’s wife when Bobby accepted a call into vocational ministry. Eight years later, God provided a leading in 2019 to plant a church in Jensen Beach, Fl.
For Brenda, watching transformed lives, baptisms, the power of prayer, and watching God grow His church has been an amazing ride and a life chapter filled with unimaginable emotions. The most profound reward has been watching their daughter, Rachael singing on the worship team. It has been an incredible gift and answered prayer for Brenda and Bobby to raise a child who loves God, loves people and loves serving.
Brenda enjoys studying God’s Word, life groups, serving others, spending quality time with family and traveling. She has been officiating as the President of Ladies of Praise for 14 years. It’s been an honor and a continued joy of her life.

Wendy was born in Malaysia but grew up in Singapore. Her baptism in 1984 made a monumental impact on Wendy’s life.
Through marriage, Wendy came to the US in 1999. She had asked God to send someone who would love her absolutely, completely and freely. God sent her Jerry, who is a real sweetheart.
Before moving to Florida in 2010, Wendy and Jerry lived in Louisville, KY. It was certainly God’s plan for their move to Florida because it is where Wendy met a small group of friends from her home country. Wendy then joined a local church and Ladies of Praise. She credits her church, Ladies of Praise, BSF, and wonderful Christian women for her exponential growth in her spiritual walk. There have been some ups and downs, but God has always been present. God is good. Wendy prays for more patience, and to completely trust and obey God’s Word. She loves the Ladies of Praise.
Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Kelly is a Native Californian but grew up in Hawaii until she was five years old. Her family moved to Arizona where she graduated from high school and college. After college, she worked in Las Vegas as a teacher for 20 years. It wasn’t until God pulled the rug from under her feet that she realized her actions hurt people. Kelly repented, accepted Jesus and got baptized in 2002.
After waiting a long time, Kelly literally was wandering the desert when the Lord answered her prayers by bringing her a wonderful husband, Chris. He worked in Northern CA so full circle, they moved back, got married, and the Lord gave them their miracle baby, David. Another answer to prayer. When David was 17 months old, they moved to Florida in 2017.
David is now a happy 6-year old! Praise God!
One of Kelly’s dear friends, Margaret, started inviting her to church. Kelly joined her life group full of healthy Christian marriages and they started to pray for her. Her faith walk was really bolstered after receiving her first bible from a hall monitor at school and even more in this life group. Her faith walk has been so exciting – dying to herself daily, letting Christ reign in her heart and sanctify her daily.
Kelly started serving in women’s ministry, worship, missions, homeless outreaches, and children’s ministry. Now a retired teacher, Kelly loves to write God’s Word on the tablet of her heart and apply it to bless others and glorify God. She also loves sewing, crafts, playing the piano and worshipping Jesus. She says it’s an honor and privilege to serve on the Ladies of Praise

And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.”

One of Theresa’s favorite sayings is, “even on my very worse day I know that I am still blessed.” She is so thankful for all that the Lord has done for her. Theresa credits the Lord’s strength within her that empowers her to push through trials and find victory through the storms of life.
Theresa truly enjoys giving back and serving others. That is why she loves being a part of the Ladies of Praise committee and feels honored to serve. She loves that it brings women together to break bread, worship, laugh, love and pray together.

Connie is a native of Florida and lived in Pembroke Pines for 54 years. She moved to Jensen Beach 12 years ago. Growing up, she attended a Presbyterian Church. At age 12, she learned about God, but never knew Jesus! The next 10 years, she lived like the world.
She eventually married her husband, a Jewish man, after dating for only 6 months. They faced many trials and did not attend church or celebrate Christian holidays. This allowed the enemy to cause chaos, confusion, hopelessness and helplessness in an attempt to destroy her marriage and family.
One night in the middle of a crisis, Connie called out to God for help. Things started to change slowly as she remembered God’s promise; “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Connie began attending church, bible studies, and spending time with the Lord in prayer. Meeting Jesus changed her life and restored her marriage and family. She will be married for 43 years in November 2025. (1 Corinthians 7:13-14)
Connie is a wife, mother of three boys, grandmother to seven and a child of God. Her husband has been serving and attending church with her for the past 9 years. Connie’s three sons are saved by His blood and baptized in His name. They are raising their families to know Jesus.
Acts 16:31; “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”

Margo was born in Brazil but has lived in the United States for 35 years. She’s called Florida her home for 19 of those years. At the age of 15, Margo publicly professed her love of Christ through baptism. From as long as she can remember, she has always been active in the church.
It wasn’t until Margo’s mid 30’s when Jesus became her Lord, her Savior and yet being Lord of her life would come even later. With that decision to make Jesus Lord of her life, Margo had found freedom in living out-loud and serving Jesus regardless of any earthly trials.
Margo has been married for 33 years and has two daughters. So thankful for those blessings and more, Margo could not even imagine life without Jesus in this crazy world without being connected to Him 24/7. Jesus is everything to her – He is her life!
